The mod is sold in a minimalistic plastic transparent box. Through the top cover you can see the mod itself, the hybrid connector and a paper insert with the name of the device.

On one of the ends there is a sticker with the manufacturer’s web address, the serial number of the device and a strip under which you can find the originality verification code.

Technical information is clearly visible through the “bottom” of the device: that this is a mechanical mod, that it is made of steel, that it is for an 18650 battery, consists of several parts, how to assemble and how to replace the connector. canada vape store Well, and a scattering of icons, where would we be without them.

Appearance and features of Wismec Skyladon

The design of this mod is extremely simple: a smooth pipe with a diameter of 22 mm. On the bottom there is a small decoration in the form of the name of the mod and three holes for emergency gas release.

WISMEC Skyladon – connector and button

A completely disassembled mod consists of many parts (not all of them are even visible in the photo), and almost all of these parts require periodic maintenance during operation, which is the main disadvantage.

The body of the mod (or the main pipe) is unremarkable except for the threads on both sides and three holes for gas outlet. The quality of workmanship is excellent, the threads are good and smooth. Due to the lower location of the emergency holes, there is an opinion about the correct installation of the battery with the plus down. However, I do not adhere to such advice and install the batteries with the plus up. More precisely, with the minus down, since the battery in the Slyladon is installed “through the top”. Yes, you do not need to unscrew the button anymore, but you do need to remove the connector.

The hybrid connector is brass and looks quite standard for its function: there is an external thread; there is an internal 510, two holes for easy unscrewing and a plastic insulator, which must be installed facing the battery contact.

The spring-loaded connector is more interesting: it is steel, tall and with radiator ribs. On the outside it has the inscription WISMEC and “Designed in California”, and on the bottom (in the photo just above) you can see a contact pad with two holes for disassembly.

The mechanism for adjusting to the pin of your evaporator is made of five elements: a steel case with a radiator, a plastic black insulator and brass parts, with a conical spring between them, providing the auto-tuning system itself. With this same unit you can slightly adjust the mod to your battery, if it turns out to be shorter than usual, although this is usually not required. And in general – for RDA and RDTA it is better to use a hybrid connector, and for tanks with no maintenance – take a board

Conclusions

The mod is outwardly nice and suitable for use with evaporators, the winding in which does not fall below 0.2 or, in extreme cases, 0.1 Ohm. For more “extreme” windings, Slyladon is no longer suitable – the button starts to heat up and the pusher quickly becomes covered with black dots. The radiator on the spring-loaded connector dissipates heat well and during intensive vaping, the device has time to cool down between puffs. The delivery set is very poor, “thanks” for the hybrid connector, but for the lack of spare magnets or spring – dislike. The button (if you don’t touch it) is quite convenient, presses easily and does not rattle when free.
