Review of Wismec el grande
In this review, I will tell you about a rather old, but original mech mod from WISMEC — el grande.
It seems that WISMEC has never even released this mod, either with a dripper or in its pure form. There is quite a lot of information about it on the Internet, it is even still sold in many stores (including in the Republic of Belarus), but it is impossible to find it on the Wismec website. Perhaps this is a complete hoax and the guys inspired by the creativity of Jay Bo have never made this device, or perhaps the company has completely disowned this mech mod because of its incredible similarity to le petit gros from the French company Vaponaute.
Appearance and features of Wismec el grande
The design of this mod is quite simple, laconic and at the same time interesting: firstly, a steel pipe with two decorative rings slightly smaller in diameter than the mod itself. canadian vape Secondly, this is a transformer mod: it can be used with both an 18650 and an 18350 battery. Wismec el grande – components
The mod can be disassembled into 4 main parts: hybrid connector, main cup, spacer for 18650 battery and button.
The hybrid connector, like almost all the main parts of the mod, is steel. Inside there is a thread M7x0.5 (510) there are two small holes for unscrewing from the mod (if it is stuck there) or from the evaporator (if it is stuck to it). Although the latter is unlikely, since there are noticeable recesses on both sides of the connector, which, on the one hand, will prevent the evaporator from sticking, and on the other hand, will not allow the positive contact of the battery to short-circuit to the body.

The spacer, allowing the use of an 18650 battery, is generally unremarkable, except for one decorative groove at the bottom.

The button is made according to the classic design: a steel base, a brass pusher and a contact with a spring inside.

It is disassembled by unscrewing a single screw, which also acts as a contact group.

The base is massive and integral. On the outside, it has a place for installing a spring and a small bevel that makes it easier to press the button, and on the other side, there is a rigid insulating spacer to isolate the negative battery terminal.

The spring in fashion is thin and soft, but at the same time comfortable and with a large number of turns. I do not know the material from which it is made, but what you see in the photo is not gilding, it is entirely like that.

The button itself is made of brass and oxidizes quite quickly, which even gives it a certain charm against the background of the steel case. The outer edge of the button is rounded, and inside, in all the right places, there are chamfers, which makes its movement smooth, and pressing comfortable.

The mounting screw, which acts as a contact group, is entirely brass and has an external diameter of 9 mm. As you can see in the photo, even after six months of use, there are practically no “black dots” left on it, despite the fact that I have never cleaned it.

Depending on the battery used, the height of the mod can vary from 87.5 mm to 57.5 mm (given that 8 mm of the evaporator will already be inside the device).

When using an 18350 battery, this le grande turns into a “stealth baby”, especially with the appropriate dripper, for example Deringer (second from the right) or Hobo v3 (first from the left), but the classic Origen v2 also looks pretty good on it (second from the left).

In the “long” format, the situation changes a little and the most harmonious look is already higher drippers, such as Torque (first on the left) or the Canadian Revolt (in the center).
Conclusions
The mod is definitely beautiful (especially with Revolt RDA) and original, but it also has its drawbacks: unfortunately, you should not use windings with a resistance of less than 0.5 Ohm on it, otherwise the button begins to noticeably heat up. When using an 18350 battery, this limitation is not significant at all, the main thing here is compactness, not large clouds. But when using 18650, you will have to limit yourself a little. If you are closer to aesthetic beauty and compactness, and the clouds of steam are not so important – take a closer look
