Not to say that no one needs box mods anymore, they are needed, but vapers decide to switch to compact, autonomous and practical sub-mods. In this case, many manufacturers produce devices of this format, which are actually a bit reworked and adapted to modern requirements box-mods. Determined to keep up with the competition, Vaporesso decided to continue its most famous line of Gen box mods, but now in a new sub-mod format, which bears the understandable name Vaporesso Gen PT60 Pod Kit.

General Data

Vaporesso Gen PT60 Pod Kit is a medium sized pod mod with a powerful battery, with a sub-tank cartridge designed to use GTX series vaporizers. The device visually resembles GEN series devices, but adjusted for the smaller size and slightly different format, with good ergonomics and practicality. The firm chipset that runs the device is simple and reliable, as well as the ability to get the power up to 60 watts. The sub-tank cartridge is designed for GTX series vaporizers, from which the vaper can choose the optimal one for himself. Vaporesso Gen PT60 Pod Kit is available in six colors Dark Black, Light Silver, Matte Grey, Earth Brown, Alpine Green, and Aegean Blue.

GEN PT60 Battery Box

Among the great variety of box mods presented in the vape market, vapers with a special pleasure buy GEN series from Vaporesso. The design of the new sub-mod is very similar to the previously released devices, but with the nuance that it is slightly smaller. The body is ergonomic, with rounded edges and corners, so it is easy to use and does not take up much space in your pocket. The sub-mod is quite compact 112*35*28 mm, and lightweight due to the fact that the case is made of plastic.

The device is powered by a built-in 2500 mAh battery, which is a serious application for autonomy. The battery is charged using the USB Type-C connector located on the front panel under the control buttons, with a current of 2A.

Vaporesso Gen PT60 Pod Kit works under the control of proprietary chipset simple, but it allows you to get the power up to 60 watts and working in Varivatte and Smart modes. Pod-mod is equipped with a small monochrome display, on which the vaper can find a minimum set of information about the device battery level, the resistance of the coil, the number of puffs, power and mode.

xTank Pod Cartridge

One of the key features of the Vaporesso Gen PT60 Pod Kit is that it is in the exact format of a sub-mod that uses a removable cartridge, which is a sub-tank. The tank is held in the battery pack by fairly strong magnets.

The xTank Pod cartridge is designed to use GTX series vaporizers, already well known to vapers. The company offers a wide range of vaporizers on the grid with resistance from 0.15 to 0.8 ohms. It is worth saying that this sub-mod is originally designed for DL draw, so MTL lovers won’t like it much.

Regulation of blowing is quite simple and without any tricks, the vaper just needs to turn the upper part of the cartridge, opening the hole that allows you to adjust the puff.

Filling is also implemented with the same blower adjustment ring; it just needs to be turned another quarter of a turn, then access to the silicone plug will open, opening which you can pour 4.5 ml of liquid.

Conclusions and impressions

Considering there are a lot of submods on the market right now, the Vaporesso Gen PT60 Pod Kit won’t make much of an impression on the experienced vapers. But it is a continuation of the famous GEN series, so the vaper will get a reliable, practical and versatile device that will please him constantly with its taste and aroma.
