Inside, we are immediately greeted by a certificate of originality, and in neatly cut holes in the foam rubber lies the mech itself and all its rich accessories.

In addition to the device itself and the drip tip in the color of the drain, I was especially pleased with the rich cleaning kit for the mech mod: a device for mounting in a screwdriver chuck, polishing paste in a branded jar, polishing material. canadian vaporizers In general, there is everything you need and even more. Appearance and design of Metamorphose

The Metamorphose mechanical mod is made of only one metal – brass, and uses replaceable “sleeves” to customize the appearance. Moreover, the manufacturer uses these drains of its own size, from the popular AV Able, unfortunately, they will not fit either in height or in diameter. But FIR has a truly huge selection: there is the simplest brass, as well as stabilized wood or cone, multi-colored acrylic, multi-component compositions, and recently there have also appeared from genuine leather with patterns. In general, the beauty is incredible, you will definitely not find two identical ones. The second thing after the drain that catches the eye is the very compact size of the mod – its height is only 82 mm, and this, by the way, is only 4 mm more than SMPL, which is still considered one of the most compact mechs for 18650. The mech mod has a hybrid 510 connector, i.e. the positive pin of your atomizer touches the battery directly, you need to carefully monitor the condition of the cans and how much the pin protrudes. The diameter of the connector pad is 25 mm, but the upper part of the pipe is made in the form of a radiator, in those places where there are two shallow grooves, the diameter is already 24 mm, i.e. both ∅24 mm and ∅25 mm atomizers look great here. Between the thread and the outer edge of the mech mod there is a deep bath, which prevents liquid from getting inside the pipe, does not allow the atomizers to stick to the connector and also serves as a small air gap between the mech mod and your hot atomizer. The diameter of the visible part of the button pusher is 18 mm, quite a comfortable area for pressing. The Metamorphose button does not have a lock or adjustment, it is made flush with the body, it will not press on the table by itself, but the pusher stroke is very small.

The design of the button is familiar to many users of Russian mech mods with constant contact, which allows you to avoid the formation of carbon deposits on the battery case. Such a system can already be called classic, i.e. when disassembling, you have several of its parts in your hands. The button body is not involved in the circuit, it only holds the pusher in the mech mod, the spring is also insulated, rests against white plastic, in which there is a silver spacer of constant contact. The spring holds all the parts on the pusher, i.e. they do not fall apart. The place where the push rod and the spacer touch each other will collect traces of the circuit short circuit: if the button starts to heat up, the mod stops “frying” or misfires start to appear, you just need to clean the contacts from carbon deposits with a regular eraser. The quality of processing of both internal and external surfaces does not cause any complaints, everything is done neatly.

On the inner side of the connector there is a small rim that prevents the battery from short-circuiting with the case, the simplest protection when pressing the button without an atomizer. On the side of the button inside the case there is a limitation for the push rod stroke, i.e. without the battery it simply will not fall all the way to the connector. This part has less roughness than the rest of the internal processing of the pipe.

As was said above, drains for the Metamorphose can be made of absolutely different materials and completely change the appearance of your mech mod. I got my hands on a “sleeve” made of stabilized cone and acrylic. The surface is polished to a gloss, but, naturally, where the cone is located, you can feel the pleasant warmth of the wood and its structure, the fur does not slip in your hands. If you buy a new drain, then the kit also includes an 810 drip tip in color, and a button with an insert made of the same material. The drain is held on the pipe with a thin black oring, which is put directly on the lower thread and hidden under the inner chamfer of the button body.

Because three through holes for emergency gas release are in the pusher, then the battery should be installed with the plus down, i.e. to the button. The height adjustment is due to the spring compressed during assembly of the button, you don’t have to adjust or twist anything. When assembled, the battery does not dangle inside the mech, the design feels monolithic in your hand. I don’t have a Battle Deck to test the entire design on an autofire, but before buying it’s better to screw on your drip tip and make sure that there will be no problems, because with the Kennedy 24 RDA the pressing turned out to be almost “touch”.

Impressions and conclusions

Moreover, it is generally difficult to find such a variety of materials and colors. The manufacturer’s approach to the overall appearance of its product deserves special attention: the insert on the pusher and the drip tip in the color of the drain are both an excellent idea and implementation.
