Review of Hotcig Marvel Pod. First Look

Today’s article will be devoted to a unique Pod-format device with two serviceable bases called Marvel, developed by Hotcig.

Relatively recently, a small revolution of sorts has taken place in the vaping industry – the so-called “pods” began to acquire almost full-fledged serviceable bases. The most famous examples of this are Pasito from Smoant, as well as Jester from Vapefly. The other day, the Chinese brand Hotcig joined this race of unusual Pod-format devices, releasing its Marvel Pod, which we are now going to get acquainted with.

Marvel Pod can be called a breath of fresh air in the production of “pods”, since the device is radically different from most of its analogues. online vaping shop in canada The device is made of zinc alloy and polycarbonate, and the back cover will be presented in seven colors for the user to choose from.

The front control panel of the device is no different from classic box mods. So, there is a physical Fire button, as well as power adjustment keys. The latter, by the way, can be adjusted in the range of 1-30W. In addition, the Marvel Pod is equipped with a full-fledged monochrome display with a diagonal of 0.96 inches and a micro-USB port, with which it will be possible to charge the built-in 1200 mAh battery with a current of up to 1A. The device also has three vaping modes: variable wattage, bypass and the so-called DIY mode.

The key feature of the Marvel Pod is the evaporators used here. In total, the manufacturer presented two types of non-serviceable ones for the device: with a resistance of 0.6 Ω and a mesh coil, as well as with a resistance of 1.2 Ω and a regular spiral inside. In addition to standard evaporators, the device has two more types of serviceable bases, which will have to be purchased separately.

The first such service can be called a DIY base. In essence, it is a kind of evaporator in which you can replace the winding yourself, and not in the most convenient way for users.

The second type of serviced bases for the Marvel Pod is a full-fledged RBA with two more convenient stands for one not too large coil and lower airflow, the adjustment of which is carried out by a special ring under the drip tip.

The Hotcig company also took care of the convenience of filling its brainchild, equipping it with a screw-on cap at the very top. In total, you can pour up to 2 ml into the liquid reservoir – a fairly average figure.
